Why website strategy is changing I left engineering in 2019 to start Mindesigns, and since then I have planned more websites than I can count. For most of that time, a solid website strategy was something only agencies and larger businesses could afford. You needed someone who could read keyword data, map it to pages,...

Website SEO starts with site and link structure, long before you write a single blog post. If Google can’t work out which pages matter most on your site, it will guess, and it usually guesses wrong. Almost every website we audit at Mindesigns has some version of this problem, whether the client is a local...

I’ll be honest with you from the start. Google Ads is a beast. It has hundreds of settings, automation features that change every few months, bidding strategies, audiences, assets and reports. After years of managing accounts for businesses at Mindesigns, I’ve learned that doing it well takes two different skills together. You need to understand...

When someone needs a lawyer, what appears in front of them decides which firms they consider. SEO for lawyers is a very common marketing strategy, and it is how your firm can attract more leads. A person facing a property settlement doesn’t browse law firm websites one by one. They search “family lawyer Cairns,” compare...

SEO for higher education now decides who gets discovered in two places at once. The first is Google, where a graduating student types “psychology degree Brisbane” and compares whatever ranks. And the second is inside AI tools like ChatGPT or Gemini, where that same student asks which, course is better and receives an answer your...

Before I co-founded Mindesigns, I was an engineer. Engineers are trained to distrust black boxes, and that is exactly what most digital marketing packages are. You pay a fixed monthly fee, something happens behind the curtain, and a report arrives that tells you impressions went up. After seven years of running an agency, reviewing hundreds...

Most websites do not lose their rankings to a Google update. They lose them on launch day. I have seen it from both sides. As an agency, we are often called in after a redesign has gone wrong. A business proudly launches a beautiful new website, and six weeks later organic traffic is down 40%...

Early in my sales career, one question kept bugging me: “How do you know when a prospect is actually ready to buy?” The answer isn’t instinct. It comes from having a real B2B sales process, one that shows you the signals most of us completely miss. If you ask too early, you scare them off. If you...

Enterprise SEO goes beyond ranking on Google. Today, it means building a digital presence strong enough that your business appears wherever potential customers are searching, from traditional search engines to AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews.  Most enterprise marketing teams we meet at Mindesigns have the budget for SEO. What they lack is capacity...

SEO for financial services demands a different approach compared to other industries. Finance websites are held to a higher standard because the information they publish can influence major decisions around loans, insurance, investments, business finance, property, retirement and financial advice.  Google treats many finance topics as Your Money or Your Life, or YMYL, content. For finance websites, accuracy, credibility, transparency and...

After more than eight years working in SEO and hundreds of strategy sessions with business owners across Australia, I’ve noticed a pattern that genuinely worries me. Most businesses are still doing SEO the way it was done in 2015. They’re chasing keywords, buying links, and publishing thin blog posts while completely ignoring the thing Google...

Can AI really be trusted with thousands of dollars of ad spend?  That was the question we kept coming back to since the AI boom began.  We’ve been using Google Ads for our own and our clients’ marketing campaigns, and it’s been moving quickly toward automation. Performance Max, AI Max, broad match, automated bidding, AI-generated assets, and auto-applied recommendations are now pushed...

Parents are no longer waiting for open days to decide whether a school feels right.   Traditionally, open days served as one of the primary opportunities for prospective families to visit a school, meet staff, tour the campus, and learn more about the school’s culture and values. For many schools, they were the centrepiece of the...

Written By Omer Bernstein, Head of Marketing and Sales at Mindesigns  Omer has led integrated brand awareness, outdoor advertising, and digital growth campaigns across Australia, helping businesses connect billboard visibility with measurable search demand, lead generation, and retail performance.  My personal hot take: too many discussions around billboard advertising focus only on visuals and clever concepts. After working on integrated outdoor...

Over the last year, we’ve been reworking more of our own campaigns around an omni-channel model. We wanted Mindesigns to be present in more places, but in a way that felt connected and intentional rather than simply adding more platforms for the sake of visibility.  Even with that in mind, we quickly realised that adding more channels often created more marketing...
