Web Developer – Full-Time, In-Person Role in Cairns, QLD

About the Role:
You’ll build and maintain websites for our clients — a mix of new builds, redesigns and ongoing development work across diverse industries in Cairns and beyond. You’ll work directly with our design team from Figma handovers and see your work go live for real businesses, fast. This is a hands-on role in a small team, so you’ll have genuine ownership of projects from kickoff to launch.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build responsive, performance-optimised websites, primarily in WordPress (custom themes and Elementor builds), with some custom development projects.
  • Translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate, accessible front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Handle site migrations, hosting setup and ongoing maintenance for client sites on our hosting infrastructure.
  • Implement technical SEO requirements — clean markup, Core Web Vitals optimisation, structured data, redirects — working alongside our SEO team.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, plugin conflicts and performance issues across a portfolio of live client sites.
  • Contribute to scoping and estimates for new development projects.

About You:

  • 2+ years of professional web development experience (agency experience is a plus).
  • Strong front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and comfort working from Figma files.
  • Solid WordPress experience — custom themes, page builders, and PHP fundamentals.
  • Understanding of web performance, accessibility basics and technical SEO.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and communicate clearly with non-technical clients and teammates.
  • Based in (or willing to relocate to) Cairns. English fluency required; Spanish is a bonus — part of our team is bilingual.

 

UX Designer – Full-Time, In-Person Role in Cairns, QLD

About the Role:
You’ll design websites and digital experiences that don’t just look good — they convert. Our UX work is tied directly to measurable outcomes for clients (one of our case studies took a client from 15,000 to 40,000 annual site visits), so you’ll design with data, run UX audits, and see how your decisions perform after launch.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design end-to-end website experiences in Figma: wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity UI and interactive prototypes.
  • Conduct UX audits of client websites — identifying friction points, accessibility issues and conversion blockers, and presenting findings to clients.
  • Collaborate with our CRO team on landing page design, A/B test variants and post-launch iteration.
  • Work within (and help evolve) client brand guidelines; contribute to branding projects when needed.
  • Hand over organised, developer-ready Figma files and work closely with our developers through build and QA.
  • Present design rationale to clients on calls — you’ll own the “why” behind your work.

About You:

  • 2+ years of UX/UI design experience with a portfolio of shipped web work (please include a link — applications without a portfolio won’t be considered).
  • Expert-level Figma skills: components, auto layout, prototyping and design systems.
  • A conversion-minded approach: you understand hierarchy, UX writing basics and what makes users act.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design.
  • Comfortable presenting to clients and defending design decisions with reasoning, not just taste.
  • Based in (or willing to relocate to) Cairns. English fluency required; Spanish is a bonus.
