Running an out-of-home campaign is still harder than it should be. Inventory is scattered across providers, comparing options is guesswork, and even the platforms that let you book online weren’t built to actually manage a campaign end-to-end. The result is a process that feels nothing like the digital channels marketers are used to.
The Challenge
Our goal was to take a process that’s traditionally slow, opaque and frustrating, and turn it into something simple. Marketers needed a way to find the right billboards, understand exactly what they’re getting, location, format, pricing, reach and book a campaign. The challenge was designing an experience clear enough that planning a billboard campaign feels as easy as booking anything else online.
Our Approach
Before designing a single screen, we started where every good product should, with the people who’d use it. We built a clear picture of our target customer, the marketer responsible for planning and booking out-of-home campaigns, mapping their goals, frustrations and the way they actually work.
From there, we analysed the existing experience across the industry, identifying exactly where current tools fall short and where the friction lives in the booking journey. This research gave us a sharp understanding of the problems worth solving and a strong foundation for every design decision that followed, ensuring the product we are building was shaped around real user needs, not assumptions.
We started by mapping the journey a marketer actually takes, then designed the product around it.
At the heart of Rent My Billboard is a map-based discovery experience. Users can explore available boards across a city at a glance, with clustered pins showing availability by area. Each listing surfaces the information that matters most upfront, such as daily price, format (digital or static), location, and estimated weekly reach, so marketers can make confident decisions without chasing details.
From there, we designed a clear, guided campaign flow: select your boards, add your campaign details, and send your request. Breaking the process into simple, logical steps removes the guesswork and gives users a sense of progress and control. Saved boards, filtering and sorting all make it easy to shortlist and compare options as they build a campaign.
The whole experience is built to let marketers plan and book out-of-home campaigns easily, in one place, with information they can actually trust.

Rent my Billbaord Branding
A new product needs an identity that’s as clear and confident as the experience itself. Alongside the product design, we created the Rent My Billboard brand from the ground up, giving the platform a look and personality that stands out in an industry that has long felt dated and impersonal.
We developed the name, logo and full visual identity, building a system that feels modern, approachable and trustworthy. The bold orange brings energy and visibility, fitting for a product all about being seen, while the clean, simple styling reflects the ease the platform promises.
Every element, from the logo to the way information is presented, was designed to feel friendly and accessible, making out-of-home advertising approachable for marketers of every level.
The result is a brand that does more than look good. It signals exactly what Rent My Billboard is about, which is making billboard advertising simple, clear and within reach.
